you can leave your hat on

Much like Miss Havisham's Satis House, my grandmother's home in New England has been untouched for the last sixty years. Four walk-in closets hold all of the clothing she's owned since 1940. As the only grandchild (and the only person tiny enough to fit into her old clothes) I have been given permission to take anything that my heart desires. These two hats were some of the numerous items that found their way into my suitcase the last time I was visiting.

The first one is so feminine and elegant. Its going to be such a statement maker.

I'm really eager to plan an outfit around it...

Lucky you! Those hats are so nice and I imagine the rest of her wardrobe rocks as well.

Yeah, TCH, her old clothes are so lovely- its amazing that we're the same size and have such similar tastes... who knew that style was genetic :) I've also been lucky enough to find some of my aunt's clothing in the house from the 60s and 70s... can't wait to share them all with you guys!

Thanks, Ashleigh- it's so well made too. There's this little tiny hair comb that's sewn into one of the seams to help you style your hair when you wear the hat!

I love the fedora! It's so funny to see your real name after reading you on your other blog for so long. :). Yay fashion blog.

My blogspot account is my social justice blog and is purposely not tied to my real name normally, but I couldn't read your blog without giving you a blogger profile. So this is me.
