my roommate's closet

my roommate danielle has a fantastic sense of personal style. luckily, she doesn't mind sharing clothes. this is one of the dresses that i snagged from her last week when i raided her closet. it belonged to her mom in the seventies and i think it's absolutely perfect. you can't tell from the photo but the material is really light and the sleeves are so gorgeous. now if she will just forget that i have it...

(dress: danielle's mom, striped cami: f21, shoes: chinese laundry-i'm obsessed with these shoes!)

I especially love the stripped tank underneath. that detail shot is my favorite!

cute shoes. i like the wide belt. it really gives a gal definition.

kristin: me too! you know i love mixing patterns...

savvy: i am addicted to those shoes, i would wear them every day if i could. yes, the wide belt is essential for flowy dresses like these, i tend to get lost in the fabric otherwise :)

I love wearing vintage with more modern pieces. You look very adorable, especially with the hair.

wendy: me too! i think it's by far the best way to wear vintage...otherwise you can sorta venture into "i just stepped out of an antique store" creepiness. (well, creepy to me at least) haha. sometimes i wonder if my just rolled out of bed, never brushed hair is a bad distraction from the clothes, glad to know that it's not! this is how it looks all the time, unfortunately :)

chic looks: thanks so much! i love the shoes so much i'm considering buying them in brown too. they really are comfortable, believe it or not
